CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SARKFEST ORGANISERS!

This SarkFest organisers Simon Couldridge and Mark Guillou, nominated for the Arts Contribution award, sponsored by Moonpig, of the Pride of Guernsey awards, only went and won!
The Pride of Guernsey website, Pride of Guernsey Awards, confirmed that:
‘The organisers were commended for their dedication and working tirelessly to showcase local musicians. They received several nominations, with one nominator, Zara Knox, describing the event as: ‘A beautifully orchestrated three-day festival run by experienced enthusiasts and a lot of kind and willing volunteers from across the Channel Islands … SarkFest brings an otherwise sleepy little island to life in an explosion of colour and music.’ This year’s event ran from 8-10 July and featured bands from Guernsey, Jersey, the UK and France. Another nominator, Anita Rive, said: ‘Mark tirelessly supports musicians, young and old … Without Mark’s efforts, the vibrant Bailiwick music scene would not exist. He is a legend!’ The festival attracted over 30 bands and acoustic acts, and included food, drinks, and entertainment for all. Other nominators described the festival as ‘diverse’, ‘very well organised’, and ‘great for Sark’s economy’.
Whilst the SarkFest organisers commented on their Facebook page, SarkFest | Facebook:
Extremely honoured to pick up the Moonpig Arts Contribution of the year on behalf of

Thanks to all that nominated us and to all that voted ensuring we got to the top 3 judging stage.
