Another successful Christmas Light Switch On and Sark Tractor Run

Sark’s Christmas Light Switch On took place last Friday after some concerns that it may not have been able to following Sark Electricity Ltd’s announcement last month that it would no longer be able to be solely responsible for the event. Fundraising took place across the island with several events and more than £3,000 raised.

Hosted by Sark Chamber of Commerce, the weather remained settled whilst carols were sung wonderfully by the Sark School children and Father Christmas even managed to make an appearance with his elves and reindeers! The Bel Air Inn kindly provided mulled wine and snacks.

Local resident Jimmy Martin organised this year’s Sark Tractor Run with a spectacular number of festively decorated tractors which finished off the evening highlighting what a great community there is on Sark.
