Sark’s Constables seeking new assistant

A recent notice on the Sark government website confirms that Sark’s Constables are looking for an additional member to join the team.

The available supporting role of Assistant Constable is for a two weeks on/two weeks off rota serving for a contracted period of two years with the option to renew, and the current level of remuneration set at £7987.68 per annum. The notice goes on to confirm that training and equipment for the role of Assistant Constable is provided for by the island and that, in addition to annual training, occasional special training, such as general statement taking or custody training, is also provided. The closing date for applications is at 12.00 noon on Thursday 2nd November 2023 with interviews to be held in the following week.
