Two new Conseillers sworn into Chief Pleas
The island’s Seneschal, Victoria Stamps, oversaw the two successful candidates of Sark’s March 2023 by-election, Marcus Barker and Scott Sullivan, be sworn into office as Conseillers of Chief Pleas.
Nominations for Sark’s by-election closed on Friday 12th March 2023 at 12 noon with only two candidates for four vacant seats. The by-election had been called, as required by law, as a result of yet another uncontested general election in December 2022, with only five nominees for nine available seats. With two remaining seats available, another by-election may be scheduled at the forthcoming Easter Chief Pleas.
