Another successful Christmas Light Switch On along with Sark’s inaugural ‘Xmas Tractor Run’

Hosted by Sark Chamber of Commerce, the weather remained settled for the annual Christmas Light Switch On which took place last Friday. Sark Electricity Ltd generously provides the labour to put up the lights and decorations whilst also powering it all for the festive period and Rossborough provides the ongoing insurance. Carols are sung wonderfully by the Sark School children; Miss Sark Princess Bella Carré had the honour of turning on the lights whilst Santa still manages to make an appearance each year! The Bel Air Inn kindly provided mulled wine and snacks. President of Sark’s Chamber, Sheree Holly, said:

“We are incredibly happy with how the whole Island came together to make this event a huge success. The addition of the Xmas Tractor Run, organised by Jimmy Martin helped take the Christmas Light Switch On to a new level. Through the generosity of those in attendance we were able to raise £187.07 to go towards continuing the Christmas Light tradition on Sark.”
