CHIEF PLEAS CALLS FOR REGISTERS OF INTEREST TO REPLACE SARK’S ELECTRICITY GRID

Following Sark government’s decision to replace the island’s electricity grid at the Michaelmas meeting of Chief Pleas, the Policy & Finance Committee have now entered into a period to allow interested parties to express their interest. The deadline for this is 23rd December 2022.

‘We are looking for contractors with experience of delivering similar systems at a similar scale using proven technology. Reliability, security of supply and safety are the over- arching requirements for the new system. At this stage we are seeking expressions of interest set out in a power point/PDF of no more than 20 slides covering:

• Experience of design and installation of similar systems with case studies and references.
• Outline proposal for Sark’s replacement system.
• Indicative capital and operational costs.’ ‘We will then short-list contractors to provide more detailed proposals.
