Midsummer Chief Pleas

 The Midsummer Chief Pleas meeting is due to be held on 6th July 2022 and the agenda has now been released on the government website. With 11 items which are all predominantly housekeeping matters, realistically, this statutory meeting, one of four called each year, should take no more than an hour. Topics included are amendments to Bailiwick Human Rights and financial legislation, reforms to the Office of the Constable and the oath of office for those in this role, an update on the restructuring of the Isle of Sark Shipping (IoSS) board, amendments to both the Medical & Emergency Services and Education Committee mandates before the standard various elections to committees and panels take place. An addendum published since also covers a proposal for Sark to be included in any future reciprocal health agreement with the UK.
