SarkFest 2023 announces a Channel Island-wide school band showcase

The organisers of SarkFest 2023 have announced a Channel Islands’ school bands showcase on the Sunday afternoon of the festival weekend.

This year, the 3-day event is to be held over Friday 7th, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July 2023 across four stages with more than 30 bands and acoustic acts entertaining attendees of what is one of the busiest weekends on Sark. Mark Guillou, one of the SarkFest organisers, said:

‘We have loads of great, young bands in Guernsey and we would like to do a battle of the CI school bands. Manche Iles are doing day trips direct from Jersey as well as Sark Shipping from Guernsey and we have £1,000 which we will allocate as prizes voted on by the audience.’
