SARK’S PICTURESQUE CREUX HARBOUR ATTRACTS HUNDREDS FOR THE SECOND BUILD-A-BOAT EVENT

2019 saw the first Build-A-Boat event held in Sark. As a result of COVID in the intervening years, this feature did not take place over 2020 and 2021. However, last weekend it was back with a bang, having been announced in July that this year it had been extended from a 1 to a 2-day event.
Saturday saw the day dedicated to building a wide-ranging collection of boats on the harbour. Sunday saw the racing itself take place as well as various other festivities including a greasy pole, the blob and a floating bar, along with a further bar on the harbour. Hot food was served from 11.00am. Residents and visitors, young and old, alike enjoyed the great weather; all funds raised will be donated to various Sark Island charitable projects with the final amount yet to be announced.
